Choose your Hillsborough County application route
The Clerk provides in person applications and a separate online license process by video appointment. Review its requirements before choosing a route; a completed online application alone is not a marriage or a ceremony reservation.
Prepare for the fee and timing
The listed license fee is $86, reduced to $61 with a qualifying registered premarital preparation course. Check the current resident waiting period and exceptions with the Clerk before fixing a ceremony date.
Reserve the right ceremony space
The Clerk offers ceremony spaces in downtown Tampa, Brandon and Plant City. It lists room for up to ten guests in downtown Tampa and Plant City, or six in Brandon. Appointments are recommended. Confirm the room, time and camera arrangements for your group.
