Start with the Peoria County Clerk
Submit the online application information before your office visit if possible. The county retains that information for 14 days; if you do not attend within that time, you need to enter a new application. Bring accepted proof of age and any required previous marriage documents.
Budget for the license and timing
The county lists a $75 license fee, with an additional $4 for debit or credit cards. Obtain the license at least one day before the ceremony. It expires in 60 days, starting the day after issuance.
Book a judge ceremony in advance
The county lists a separate $10 judge ceremony fee and advance scheduling through the Circuit Clerk Civil Division at 309-672-6984. Confirm whether your ceremony is in person or by video and what arrangements apply to guests and photographs.
