Both applicants must be present to receive the license and bring picture identification. The Clerk’s checklist asks for personal details, parents’ names and information about previous marriages. Review its current requirements before your visit.

McCracken County lists a $60 license fee. The license is valid for 30 days, can be used on the day it is issued and must be used in Kentucky. The Clerk states there is no waiting period. Confirm payment arrangements and the date before visiting.

Make the ceremony appointment separately
The County Clerk only issues the license. For a courthouse ceremony, its page directs couples to arrange an appointment with a judge and provides current contact details. Confirm the judge’s availability, location and guest rules rather than assuming a ceremony follows the license visit.
Make a simple photography plan
For a Paducah wedding with a short ceremony, I would agree on a meeting point and the family portraits in advance. Leave space for arrivals, paperwork and photographs before your next reservation.
