Apply through Hamilton County Probate Court
Ohio residents apply in a county where either applicant lives. Couples who both live outside Ohio can apply in Hamilton County if they will marry there. Both applicants generally must appear in person; the Court explains limited exceptions.
Prepare documents and the license fee
The Court lists a $75 marriage license fee, with a card processing fee and no personal checks. Bring accepted proof of age and the required details of any previous marriage. You can begin with the online pre-application, then complete the process in person.

Schedule the ceremony and use the license on time
The license is valid for 60 calendar days, with no waiting period. The license office does not provide an immediate ceremony in its lobby. For a Municipal Court Duty Judge ceremony, the Court directs couples to call 513-946-5200.
The officiant must return the completed certificate within 30 days after the ceremony.
Plan portraits around the confirmed appointment
I would begin with the ceremony’s confirmed time, permitted guest count and camera rules. Leave room for check-in and family photographs before adding another location to the plan.
