Bryan and Dev celebrated their anniversary with a waterfront portrait session at Fort Fisher Mailbox in Kure Beach, North Carolina. Sunset light, a champagne toast and a table set for two gave us several ways to photograph their celebration.
We photographed them together beneath the spreading tree, with its exposed roots and the water behind them. Their white dress and blue jacket stood out against the coastal greenery. The photographs include a twirl along the sandy path, close embraces and a kiss, along with individual portraits of each of them.
Their picnic setup was part of the story too: flowers, candles, turquoise napkins and champagne glasses on a small table beneath the tree. We photographed those details as well as the celebration around them, including the champagne spray and portraits with their glasses raised.
As the sun lowered over the water, the light changed the feel of the portraits. Some frames leave room for the tree, shoreline and evening sky; others come close enough to focus on the two of them. That mix gives Bryan and Dev’s anniversary photographs both a sense of place and the small moments they shared. For an anniversary session at Fort Fisher, we can plan around the evening light and make room for portraits, movement and any personal details you’d like to bring. Tell us what you’re celebrating, and we’ll help you shape the session.
Let’s tell your story.
